Cheese and pregnancy
The danger of listeria means if you are pregnant you should not eat soft or blue cheese.

The Food Standard Authority advises that "young children, elderly people, pregnant women and people who are ill should avoid unpasteurised milk". (Unfortunately, that includes Parmesan.)

The following are good choices in pregnancy – hard and pasteurised cheese: Cornish Yarg, Old Amsterdam, Quicke’s Cheddar, Single Gloucester, Smoked Northumberland.
